DO PES COURSES QUALIFY FOR CPE IN THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE? YES!

New Hampshire does not pre-approve continuing education programs or sponsors and they DO NOT have sponsorship agreements. They will accept courses from NASBA sponsors. Professional Education Services, LP (PES) is registered with NASBA (#103592) on the National Registry of CPE sponsors and has issued credits in the state of New Hampshire without any problems.

LICENSE RENEWAL INFORMATION:

  • 120 hours of CPE every 3 year reporting cycle.
  • Minimum of 20 per year.
  • Must complete 4 hours of ethics every 3 years. PES course 4600: Ethics and Professional Conduct for New Hampshire CPAs can be used to fulfill this requirement as can any PES general ethics course.
  • 100% of your credits can be earned via self-study CPE courses

LICENSE EXPIRATION INFORMATION:

  • PLEASE NOTE: as of July 2023, licenses will now be issued with a 2 year expiration date and will expire two years from the date of issuance on the last day of the month in which the license was issued. The details surrounding the changes made to future continuing education requirements for the new two-year renewal periods will be determined by the Board of Accountancy and may be updated accordingly. You are encouraged to visit the Board's website (listed above) frequently to stay apprised of changes or contact the NH Board of Accountancy for more information / clarification.

CPE COMPLETION DUE BY:

  • CPE must be completed by the license expiration date.

SELF STUDY CREDIT HOURS:

Credits granted for PES courses are based on the AICPA and NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy) statement of standards which grant 1 CPE credit for every 50-minutes of study time. New Hampshire recognizes the same credit measurement.

MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE SELF STUDY CREDITS: 100%
ACCEPTABLE AREAS OF STUDY:

Areas include: Public accounting; Governmental accounting; Public auditing; Governmental auditing; Administrative practices; Social environment of business; Regulatory ethics; Business law; Business management and organization; Finance; Management advisory services; Marketing; Behavioral ethics; Communications; Personal development; Personnel and human resources; Computer science; Economics; Mathematics; Production; Specialized knowledge and its application; Statistics; and Taxes.

NASBA FIELD OF STUDY SYNOPSIS: The fields of study specifically listed by the Board can all be equated to a NASBA field of study. Therefore all fields of study noted on our certificates of completion should be able to be reported to NH.
