DO PES COURSES QUALIFY FOR CPE IN THE STATE OF MISSOURI? YES!

Missouri does not pre-approve continuing education programs or sponsors and they DO NOT have sponsorship agreements. The board accepts CPE from NASBA Sponsors. Professional Education Services, LP (PES) is registered with NASBA (#103592) on the National Registry of CPE sponsors and has issued credits in the state of Missouri without any problems.

LICENSE RENEWAL INFORMATION:

  • 40 hours per calendar year
  • Ethics: 2 hours of the required 40 every year must be Ethics. This can be fulfilled by state specific or general ethics or a combination of such. PES course 4425: Ethics and Professional Conduct for Missouri CPAs (2 Hr) qualifies towards this requirement as do any of our general ethics courses.

LICENSE EXPIRATION INFORMATION:

  • Biennially 9/30

CPE COMPLETION DUE BY:

  • CPE must be completed by 12/31

SELF STUDY CREDIT HOURS:

Credits granted for PES courses are based on the AICPA and NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy) statement of standards which grant 1 CPE credit for every 50-minutes of study time. Missouri recognizes the same credit measurement.

MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE SELF STUDY CREDITS: 100%
ACCEPTABLE AREAS OF STUDY:

Regulations state: "... a program qualifies as acceptable CPE ... if it is a program of learning that contributes to the growth in the professional knowledge and professional competence of a licensee ... that the program must meet the minimum standards ... set forth in the Statement on Standards for CPE Programs jointly approved by the NASBA and the AICPA".

NASBA FIELD OF STUDY SYNOPSIS: All of the current NASBA fields of study noted on PES certificates of completion can be reported for CPE in Missouri.
