DO PES COURSES QUALIFY FOR CPE IN THE STATE OF COLORADO? YES!

Colorado does not pre-approve continuing education programs or sponsors and they DO NOT have sponsorship agreements. Colorado accepts courses from NASBA sponsors and all courses need to follow the AICPA/NASBA CPE standards. PES is a registered sponsor with NASBA (#103592) and has issued credits in the state of Colorado without any problems.

LICENSE EXPIRATION INFORMATION:

  • 11/30/odd years

CPE COMPLETION DUE BY:

  • The reporting period will be 1/1/even year to 12/31/odd year (expiration year).
    For example 11/30/2025 renewal = CPE reporting of 1/1/2024 to 12/31/2025.

SELF STUDY CREDIT HOURS:

Credits granted for PES courses are based on the AICPA and NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy) statement of standards which grant 1 CPE credit for every 50-minutes of study time. Colorado recognizes the same credit measurement.

MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE SELF STUDY CREDITS: 100%
ACCEPTABLE AREAS OF STUDY:

The Board lists the same fields of study as defined by NASBA.

NASBA FIELD OF STUDY SYNOPSIS: All the NASBA fields of study noted on PES certificates of completion should be able to be reported.
